Sunday, July 8, Noon to 6:00 PM

Location:

Bates Beach, Carpinteria, CA

Another sunny beach event! To get our beach back it is important that we keep showing up to get the non-nudists who come to the beach to see they have nothing to fear from us, and that it is okay for us to claim the unused western end of the beach.

The Santa Barbara nudity law remains in effect. Persons removing their swimsuit do so at their own risk. Go as bare as you dare! Your decision, your choice!

Bring your own picnic supplies, chairs, bathing suits and sunscreen and make a day of it. Afterwards we will all go into Carpinteria to eat and pay for our meals with $2 bills!

Call us at (818) 225-2273 or RSVP to scna@socalnaturist.org.

All you need to bring is a pot luck side dish or dessert, a folding chair, and a towel to sit on.

This year we are holding the Members Appreciation Party in conjunction with our annual General Members Meeting at Arroyo del Sol in Altadena

General Members Meeting

July is again time for our General Members Meeting and election of a new board of directors!

SCNA is a California non-profit corporation and as such is required to hold an official members meeting at least once a year to review the finances and board actions. Our board meetings minutes and financial reports will be available for member inspection. Members may also consider motions to change how the club functions.

After the presentation of reports and other business, club members present will elect directors who will represent you for the next 12 months. The board, in turn, elects the club officers to serve for the upcoming year. We encourage everyone to participate! Please let us know soon if you would like to run for a position on the board of directors, or one of the offices.

The Meeting will run from approximately 2:30PM to 3:30PM so we won’t interrupt your pool, spa and sun time too much.

Lost & Found Silent Auction

Also at this event each year we hold a silent auction featuring all the unclaimed Lost and Found items that people left at previous events. We will also try to throw in some other nice stuff to bid on. If you would care to donate something, please bring it to the party!.

RSVP

Contact SCNA and let us know if you are coming to this event, what you are bringing for food, and if you have any business to raise at the meeting or nominations to submit.

We look forward to seeing you at this important event.

TNS Western Naturist Gathering

This scheduled event is in the past.

Thursday, July 19, 9:00 AM to Sunday, July 22, 4:00 PM

Have a Nude Attitude! Join fellow members of The Naturist Society at their annual Western Naturist Gathering.

Location:

Lupin Lodge, Los Gatos CA

The four days are full of fun, interesting workshops and events being sponsored by naturist leaders and clubs from all over the Western United States. Anyone who has gone to a Gathering before knows it is a great time to see old friends from other nudist groups (and to make new ones!). It’s a great way to connect with others, and share experiences and advice all can use to enjoy naturism even more.

SCNA usually participates at this four-day annual meeting, hosting several “fun events” and several workshops, although a conflict witht eh AANR-West Convention may cause a change of plans. Even if you don’t want to participate in any of the events, Lupin Lodge is a beautiful place to vacation for a few days and relax!

We encourage those of you who will be attending to open your vehicles to carpooling. It’s also a great way to pass the time while traveling to the San Jose area. Let us know if you’re planning on going and can offer a ride.

Contact us at scna@socalnaturist.org or (818) 225-2273.

Rustic accommodations include yurts, some cabins and tenting options, along with some RV parking. Contact Lupin Lodge at (408) 353-9200 for availability and prices. Discounted Grounds Fees are available for those who register for the Gathering with TNS.
