Viva Cinco de Mayo!
West LA Jacuzzi Party
Saturday, May 5, Noon to 7:00 PM
Location:
Cost:
Help us celebrate this popular holiday with a party in West LA! Bring your best Mexican dish to share, SCNA will provide soft drinks.
While we hope the sun breaks through as it usually does, this home is only a few miles from the beach, and it’s early May, so be prepared for any weather.
Games are a tradition at this, so bring one to share (card or board games) or you may choose to play "Catch Phrase," a popular word association game favored by the host. A Jacuzzi is also available for your enjoyment.
RSVP to the club Message Center at (818) 225-2273, send an email to scna@socalnaturist.org, or a pre-payment to PayPal.

Friends of Bates Beach hosts a dinner meeting in Carpinteria on the third Tuesday each month (April through October) to meet new friends and plan our activities. We also hope to introduce new people to naturism and clothing-optional beach activity, and help dispel mistaken impressions that non-nudists may have about us.
Anyone with a sincere interest in discussing the beaches and naturist issues is welcome. This is also an opportunity to consider joining the FOBB parent organization, the Southern California Naturist Association. Bring yourselves, some money for food, and your thoughts and enthusiasm.
Reservations are not required but a call to our Message Center at (818) 225-2273 or (805) 910-6210 is appreciated so we can anticipate the head count.

Bare to Breakers
Sunday, May 20, 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Location:
There are restrictions on public nudity in San Francisco, but it is legal to run nude in the annual Bay-to-Breakers race as long and you are not exhibiting any lewd behavior. Many nudists co-mingle each year with the thousands of other runners and crazies costumed (or body painted) in everything imaginable.
This is not an SCNA event. We post this notice as a courtesy to our members and other web site visitors who might like to attend (and run naked through a city!)
Nudists should visit the Bare to Breakers website www.baretobreakers.com for detailed advice for participating.
Lupin Lodge in Los Gatos is providing a shuttle to take nudists to the race and back again, since driving in SF is so insane. The 90-min bus ride from Lupin costs $40 round trip. The transportation is basically non-profit since the money is used to rent the van, pay the driver, and buy the gas
Because the bus fills up early, we recommend you call Lupin soon at 1-408-353-9200 to sign up. The bus leaves Lupin at 6:00 a.m. to arrive comfortably before the 8:00 am starting time. Discount pricing is available for overnight and weekend stays; ask at the Lupin office about rates when you call.
