This year, Friends of Bates Beach plans to have a booth on the street where we could speak to the visitors about our effort to create a Beach Ambassador program and restore traditional clothing-optional use to portions of the beach. We hoped to collect information to develop and document public support for the plan. As in the past we will also be walking the street spending our $2 bills as our way of drawing attention to the purchasing power of nudists in the area and initiating discussions about our effort.
- There are four entertainment stages with over dozens of acts
- 40 arts and crafts vendors will be participating
- There will be over 20 fun food booths and over 30 commercial vendors
- Guacamole Contest and Avocado Auction!
RSVP early to (818) 225-2273 so we can get a head count and arrange our schedules and transportation.

For a touch of Munich in Los Angeles, join us for another Oktoberfest party. We expect to have some traditional music and games, so start practising your pretzel passing and beer stein carrying! Perhaps we can get Paki to lead the Chicken Dance, and who doesn't like a nice polka.
This is a true pot luck, which means members and guests are responsible for the food, so please bring something to share with about 8 people (main dish, side dish, dessert). In keeping with the party theme, try to bring a German-themed dish! Suggestions include any kind of German cold cuts, (Bierwurst, bockwurst, blutwurst, liverwurst), Black Forest ham, small sandwich rolls (brotchen), various cheeses, sauerkraut, potato salad, potato pancakes, apple strudel, black forest cake, etc. Frankfurters, bratwurst, knackwurst, or any other cooked sausages need to be cooked prior as the kitchen will not be available for preparation.
Of course if you bring beer and imbibe, please drink responsibly!
SCNA will provide soft drinks and water.
Contact SCNA to RSVP. Club Message Center: (818) 225-2273.

We have rented out the entire bowling center for the event and it has complete privacy from the street. There will be nobody there but us for these 3 hours.
We have opened up this event to all our local clubs such as YNA, AANFA, NitOC, and the Olympian club to be sure to cover our costs.
The $20 is required to attend (even if you don’t bowl), which is less than if you went to a clothed bowling event and rented shoes, ate food, etc. The cost includes shoes.
This will be a finger food pot luck event, with the bowling alley providing water, soft drinks, and beer and wine for a nominal sum. They have no kitchen or refrigerator available so all food you bring must be prepared in advance (bring a cooler if your food must be kept chilled.)
We will have prizes for best scores.
Important! We need a head count of who is coming as the have to limit the number of people to 50. We need the full name of any non-SCNA member at least 36 hours in advance so that we can do our background checks.
