This meeting is also a prerequisite before we can invite you to one of our clothing-optional events. Anyone with a sincere interest in discussing naturist issues is welcome.
Our Ventura meetups are also used for coordinating Friends of Bates Beach activities.

Friends of Bates Beach Party
![I [heart] Bates Beach, Carpinteria, CA friendsofbatesbeach.org](/clipart/ilovebatesbeach1.jpg)
Saturday, August 15, Noon to 6:00 PM
Location:
Another sunny beach event! To get our beach back it is important that we keep showing up to get the non-nudists who come to the beach to see they have nothing to fear from us, and that it is okay for us to claim the unused western end of the beach.
The Santa Barbara nudity law remains in effect. Persons removing their swimsuit do so at their own risk. Go as bare as you dare! Your decision, your choice!
Bring your own picnic supplies, chairs, bathing suits and sunscreen and make a day of it. Afterwards we will all go into Carpinteria to eat and pay for our meals with $2 bills!
Call us at (818) 225-2273 or RSVP to scna@socalnaturist.org.
