General Members Meeting

July is time for our General Members Meeting.

SCNA is a California non-profit corporation and, per our bylaws, we hold an official members meeting at least once a year to review the finances and board actions and plan for the future. Our board meetings minutes and financial reports will be available for member inspection. Members may also consider motions to change how the club functions.

Due to current restrictions on group activities, we changed the bylaws to allow for club meetings to be held online, and for our election of directors to be held outside of the prescribed General Members Meeting. This year we are holding the election by mail-in ballot. The results of the election will be announced at this meeting.

The meeting is scheduled from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, but the actual business should be done in a much shorter time. We will keep the meeting line open for discussion and socializing after the adjournment.

There will be an online meeting of the new board of directors on the following day, where the officers for the next term will be chosen. All participating are encouraged to join that meeting and volunteer to be an officer of the SCNA. Please let us know soon if you would like to run for one of the offices.

RSVP

Contact SCNA and let us know if you will be attending, and if you have any business to raise at the meeting or nominations to submit.

Login information for the online meeting will be provided in the official meeting notice. We look forward to seeing you at this important event.

Friends of Bates Beach Party

This scheduled event is in the past. I [heart] Bates Beach, Carpinteria, CA friendsofbatesbeach.org

Saturday, July 25, Noon to 6:00 PM

Location:

Bates Beach, Carpinteria, CA

Another sunny beach event! To get our beach back it is important that we keep showing up to get the non-nudists who come to the beach to see they have nothing to fear from us, and that it is okay for us to claim the unused western end of the beach.

The Santa Barbara nudity law remains in effect. Persons removing their swimsuit do so at their own risk. Go as bare as you dare! Your decision, your choice!

Bring your own picnic supplies, chairs, bathing suits and sunscreen and make a day of it. Afterwards we will all go into Carpinteria to eat and pay for our meals with $2 bills!

Call us at (818) 225-2273 or RSVP to scna@socalnaturist.org.
