Haulover's Nude Beach has earned the respect of local law enforcement and political officials. Yes, anyone cal can that, but when it is backed up by written letters signed by these officials, then people need to take notice, because politicians rarely put their name to any document unless they know they can defend their convictions.

At left, is a complete list of references you can contact. This list includes everyone from the Miami-Dade Mayor and Sheriff to the head of the Parks and Recreation Department, the Tourist Board, and the homeowner's association that sits adjacent to the beach.

The second document is a letter of support from Norman Edelcup, Mayor of Sunny Isles, the city alongside Haulover.

Document #3 was written by Hon. Sally Heyman, Meber of the Florida House of Representatives, District 105. She states the nude beach has been good for tourism and has had no negative impact on other beaches or the community.

Document #4 is a lettter of support from Ms. Vivian Rodriguez, Chair of the Miami-Dade Parks and Recreation Department.

Document #5 comes from Ibis Romero, Executive Director of the Sunny Isles Resort Association, representive the homeowners who live across the street from Haulover Beach. He writes of the community's initial concern about the beach and how the beach organizers have kept the place clean, free of crime, and generated over a million dollars in improvements to his community.
