SCNA MONTHLY MEET-UPS

Each month, SCNA hosts a monthly dinner and discussion group at different pizza parlors or restaurants around the greater Los Angeles area. This is a way to introduce new people to naturism and to dispel mistaken impressions that non-nudists may have about us. Anyone with a sincere interest in discussing naturist issues is welcome. These classes are especially useful for people who suffer from low self-esteem and poor body image because it is done in a safe, nurturing environment. But it is open to anyone who wishes to discover an entirely new way of looking at your own body, spiritually and physically.

27th ANNUAL AVOCADO FESTIVAL
Location: Carpinteria, CA

Meet at Noon at "The Spot" Restaurant on Linden Avenue.

SCNA and Friends of Bates Beach will be visiting downtown Carpinteria for their annual Avocado Festival (Oct 5-6-7) along Linden Avenue in the heart of the town. While there we will be spending $2 bills as our way of drawing attention to the purchasing power of nudists in the area.

- There are four entertainment stages with over dozens of acts
- 40 arts and crafts vendors will be participating
- There will be over 20 fun food booths and over 30 commercial vendors
- Guacamole Contest and Avocado Auction!

Saturday & Sunday, October 12-13, Meet at 10:30 AM
Nude Hike/Camping Trip to Deep Creek
Location: Bowen Ranch, San Bernardino Mountains

SCNA in joining the Camping Bares and Orange County nudist clubs in a joint event at Deep Creek hot springs. There is no charge for this event but you are responsible for your own camping equipment, food and drink to pack in (and to pack out any leftovers!) You may stay for Saturday only, or stay overnight along with perhaps 20 other nudists (the number we usually average on these trips.)

There is no tenting allowed near the springs. We hike in about 10:30am Saturday, and set up tent camping next to our cars overnight that evening after a great day at the springs. This makes it easy for day visitors to join the campers. $ 10 for overnight camping per person, $ 5 per person for daytime parking. pay at the Bowen Ranch entrance, exact change in envelope with license number, if no one there to collect your fees.

OUR ANNUAL HALLOWEEN PARTY
Location: Deer Park, Devore
$10.00/person (members and guests of members)
Children under 18 are free.

Attention witches, demons and all spooky creatures. The annual Halloween Masquerade Extravaganza is moving to Deer Park this year for a joint party with its friendly members. The park will make their clubhouse available for lunch 11am-2pm, and the bar opens at 5pm with dinner at 6pm. Depending on the weather we will spend the afternoon in the heated pool and jacuzzi. Starting at 7pm, There will be several contests including several best costume categories, as well as Karaoke music sung by volunteer specters, apparitions and ghosts to help dance the night away.

SO NOT PAY SCNA FOR THIS EVENT. PAY DEER PARK DIRECTLY.

Bring extra cash for lunch and/or dinner (about $6-7 per meal) plus a little more if you want to participate in the evenine raffle.
